Use of the site
Big Star General Contracting (Big Star) operates this website to provide information about our services, accept project inquiries, and book consultations. By using the site, you agree to use it in good faith and in compliance with applicable law.
Consultation booking terms
Big Star offers a paid on-site project consultation for $300, booked through our scheduling system (Calendly) and processed through Stripe. Specific terms:
- Fee: $300 USD, charged at the time of booking. Includes one on-site visit by Joel Lemke or a designated Big Star representative, walkthrough of the property and project scope, and a written quote delivered within 48 business hours of the visit.
- If you book the project with Big Star: The $300 fee is fully applied to your project deposit or first invoice.
- If you do not book the project with Big Star: You receive $200 USD in Big Star credit, good for 24 months from the consultation date, applicable to any future Big Star project. Big Star credit is non-transferable and non-refundable for cash.
- Rescheduling: One free reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Less than 24 hours notice or no-show forfeits the $300 fee with no Big Star credit issued.
- Refunds: The $300 consultation fee is non-refundable once the on-site visit has occurred. If Big Star cancels the visit and cannot reschedule within 30 days, full refund is issued.
- Service area: Consultations are available within our service area (Tacoma, the Eastside, Seattle metro). Locations outside this footprint may incur a travel surcharge, disclosed at booking.
Project terms
Active project engagements are governed by a separate written contract executed at the time of project booking. The contract specifies scope, materials, timeline, payment milestones, change-order procedures, warranty terms, and dispute resolution. The website does not constitute a contract for construction services.
License, insurance, bond
Big Star General Contracting is a licensed Washington State contractor (WA L&I #BIGSTSG760LQ), bonded ($12,000 surety bond #538556V), and carries general liability and worker's compensation insurance as required by WA state law. License and bond status can be verified through the Washington L&I verification portal at any time.
No warranties on website content
The website is provided as-is. While we work to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that all information is current or error-free. Pricing, specifications, and project descriptions on the website are illustrative — actual project pricing and specifications are determined at consultation and contract execution.
Intellectual property
Site content, including copy, photography (where original), branding, and design, is © Big Star General Contracting. Featured editorial content from Cascade Fairway is © Cascade Fairway and used by mutual publication agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pierce County, Washington.
