Privacy policy.
Plain language. The short version: we use your information to talk to you about your project. That's it.
What we collect
When you contact us through the site, book a consultation, or send a project inquiry, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, phone number, email address, property address (if given), and project details. We do not collect anything you do not explicitly provide.
The site uses standard server logging maintained by our hosting provider (Hostinger) which records anonymized request information for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which content performs best — but only after you've accepted cookie consent via the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline consent, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is never loaded.
How we use it
Project inquiries are used to respond to your project, schedule consultations, and communicate during active engagements. We do not share, sell, rent, or license your information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share your information with subcontractors and trade partners during an active project — only as necessary to execute the work. Material suppliers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers may receive contact information needed to coordinate the project.
Third-party services we use
- Google Analytics 4 — page-view and engagement analytics. Anonymized IP, no advertising data shared. Loaded only after you accept cookie consent. Google's privacy policy.
- Formspree — processes form submissions on our behalf. Their privacy policy.
- Calendly — handles consultation booking and Stripe payment processing. Their privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing for consultation fees and project deposits. Their privacy policy.
- Trustpilot — review collection on our thank-you page. Their privacy policy.
- Hostinger — site hosting, server-level logging.
Big Star also operates social media presences on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. When you visit those platforms or follow our accounts, you're interacting with those companies under their respective privacy policies, not ours.
Your rights

Residents of Washington (under MHMDA), California (under CCPA), and the European Economic Area (under GDPR) have additional statutory rights. We comply with all applicable requests.
